The Orthospinology chiropractic technique is a specialty within chiropractic that focuses on the upper cervical region.
No Guessing, But Testing
With our approach, we take a 3D set of X-rays that are unique to every single patient. The mathematical approach we employ focuses on examining and measuring the spine and exactly how it’s misaligned.
When a patient comes in we measure their X-rays to determine the different calculated vectors that we need to make the correction. After the correction has been made we want to look at all of the neurological factors that change.
The Purpose of Re-measuring
After the first adjustment we immediately come back and take two new X-rays and then we remeasure everything. Why do we do that? We want to verify on the X-rays after the first adjustment that we fixed what we were trying to fix. Some people will fix more on top and maybe not enough on the bottom.
As every person is different everybody’s misalignment also will vary. So when we measure the post X-ray correction, we can modify our adjustment as needed.
Gentle Adjusting and Robust Results
If you don’t like the idea of getting a forceful manual adjustment, you’re not alone. That’s why Orthospinology is so well received by patients. Using a laser-guided instrument we come in at a very specific angle to make the adjustment. This highly precise and gentle approach doesn’t require any twisting, cracking or popping of the spine.
We’re delighted to report that our patients are thrilled with the results they get at Berner Upper Cervical Chiropractic. You can read about some of our patient success stories on our testimonials page.
